Dear Santa`s Fun Runners,
Santa`s Fun Run has become a great tradition and voices of Santas` familiar “ho ho ho” were heard in Riga old town in December of 2013 for the sixth time already. Santa`s Fun Run combined 2 goals – 1st and most important helping seriously ill children by paying for Reittherapy sessions and 2nd bringing Christmas joy into streets of old town and cheering up participants.
I would like to express my personal gratitude to those who participated and thus helped to improve health of seriously ill children. It would not be possible without each one of you!
My special appreciation goes to my colleagues in Riga International Rotary club for organizational efforts and ziedot.lv for successful cooperation. Gratitude received from families involved in the project proves that together we have done a great job. Therefore we are motivated and eager to continue helping those who are in need by starting work on organization of 7th Santa`s Fun Run. Together we can help bring out the smile in children who`s smile is result of treatment and hard work of their families.
Currently ~60% of donated funds – 5925.82 Eur have been used for Reittherapies and another 4106.187 Eur will be used by the end of the year. These funds helped 13 children to improve their health. Detailed report on used funds is enclosed.
We are truly satisfied with achieved and we will continue tradition of Santa`s Fun Run in 2014. Currently we are working on information gathering in order to understand who are in need of donors support the most. According to current plan we are going to wear Santa`s costumes on December 14th. More detailed information will be provided towards autumn.
Thanks again to everyone who participated and see you on December!
